Toblerone
In Girl in the Glass, Bruce uses his last Reichsmarks to buy everyone a Toblerone, a final treat before confronting the Obturavi.
Toblerone is a famed Swiss chocolate bar recognized globally for its unique triangular shape, reminiscent of the Swiss Alps, and particularly, the Matterhorn mountain. The original Toblerone, developed in Bern, Switzerland in 1908, blends Swiss milk chocolate with honey and almond nougat. The chocolate bar's name is a clever fusion of Tobler's surname and "torrone", the Italian word for honey and almond nougat.
Toblerone’s packaging is an iconic triangular shape, depicting the Matterhorn mountain, with a subtly hidden bear representing Bern, the city of its origin. Can you spot the Toblerone bear hidden on the mountain?
